Sunday School

At Flagg Road Church our Sunday School classrooms are buzzing with learning, fellowship and God's love. We have wonderful volunteer teachers who are members of the congregation. They lead the children through a 45 minute lesson each week. The lesson takes place during the usual worship time. The classrooms are small and intimate much like the rest of our church which is wonderful for participation and fostering relationships between the student and teacher. The curriculum used at Flagg Road Church is Bible Quest. Each week the lesson is complete with bible study, worksheets and a hands-on acitivity. The classrooms are divided into grades 1-3, grades 4-5 and grades 6-8. Children younger than grade 1 spend their time in our Nursery where there are 2 volunteers each week to aid with playing and general socialization. While in the Nursery, there is also a short biblical lesson for kids of preschool age. This lesson time helps with the transition and routine they will have in the Sunday School rooms upon entering first grade. Confirmation at Flagg Road Church occurs when youth are in eighth grade. The class generally runs for 8 weeks beginning after Christmas. They will study many biblical lessons and also learn all aspects of church life as they prepare to become "adult" members. Upon completion of confirmation the youth will participate in the service assisting the Deacons. The confirmed members of the youth group enjoy the responsibility of assisting each week.
